A beautiful piece of stained glass decorates now our dinning hall with our school logo and its colours. This beautiful piece was created by Liz Roper, one of our amazing Res Life staff members at Merrick Prep.
Liz has been working with glass for around 7 years and explains that the glass comes in a variety of colours which are then scored and broken carefully, ground down to get smooth edges, foiled around the edges, soldered together and wrapped with lead came around the edge.
Ms. Roper would like to thank Coba Studios in Merrickville for giving her a space to solder in and we are looking forward to see many more of her creations around our school.
