[Merrickville, Ontario, March 2, 2023] – Merrick Preparatory School (MPS) has been awarded on the first-ever published International Boarding School ranking list; the World’s Leading Boarding Schools in 2023. This prestigious award is presented by Fortune and Statista Inc., the world-leading industry ranking provider and statistics portal. The ranking list was announced on February 28th, 2023.
Only 17 Canadian Boarding Schools made the World’s Leading Boarding Schools in 2023 ranking which consisted of 250 top-rated boarding schools around the world, and Merrick Preparatory School is the only non-CAIS school listed, which is an even greater achievement.

Fortune and Statista selected the World’s Leading Boarding Schools in 2023 through more than 2000 evaluations. The evaluation was based on recommendations collected from heads of boarding schools and heads of admissions of boarding schools, as well as boarding school advisors (agents/educational consultants), alumni, and parents of boarding school students between June 30, 2022, and November 15, 2022. The evaluation did not count or consider recommendations of one’s own boarding school. The leading boarding schools were presented with ratings of 4 and 5 stars and are listed in alphabetical order.
